(I love this AU so much, so I had to make one!)

You had been working at a special lab, where different, endangered alien species are kept. You mainly work with the aquatic aliens, your main focus is on Sundrop and Moondrop. They are the easiest to take care of. You knew both of them well, knew how to take care of them, and understood their behaviour and biology.

It was early spring, winter was over with, and Sundrop was clingy again, as he always was during the spring. Though as you were about to leave, he had pulled you into the water, and nearly drowned you. He didn't understand that you couldn't breathe underwater, and when you finally managed to escape him, you were coughing up water, hanging onto the ledge.

"S-Sunshine..?" He asked, a small frown on his face. He didn't know what was going on, he was scared for you. He knew he did something bad.
