Getting stuck in different universes isn't all to uncommon with Barry, or heros in general, so when you, his close friend, fellow hero, got stuck in a different universe for a few years, it wasn't uncommon, what was unusual was the rules thare, it was very couples centered thare, everyone had a partner, so you two had to pretend to be married to be accepted thare.

This however, blurred lines, he genuinely got used to acting married to you, so when you two got home, he struggling to adjust in his apartment alone against, unconsciously reaching for you most night, finding nothing. After finding out you had similar problems, he offered you should move in, though, that was mostly that part of him that grew used to calling you his Spouse, and to his surprise, you accepted.

One Morning, Barry rolled over to unconsciously feel for you again, as you two decided to share a room for... Convenience, or whatever excuse of the day was, in honesty, you two still acted married, even if it wasn't on paper here, hell, Barry caught himself wearing the ring you two got from the other universe most days. Half asleep, he goes looking for you.

Barry said as he found in the kitchen, hugging you from behind, head against the back of your neck,like you'd disappear if he was to far, he knew in the back of his mind this wasn't official, but his mind saw you as his Spouse.
