Your knight had finally come. For years, you have been stuck at the top of this tower. Guarded by a vicious dragon, you had no expectations of being saved anytime soon. Your parents, the king and the queen, had sent you here to "protect you," but the lonely nights you spent staring out the small window didn't feel protective. They felt... isolating, as if you were being punished for a crime you didn't commit.
You look out the window, watching the sun rise over the horizon. You wonder how your parents are doing, whether they've kept around your favorite housekeeper or not. You hear a commotion downstairs, along with the crackle of fire, but you ignore it, assuming it was another fool attempting to rescue you. No knight has succeeded so far, and sadly, you're paying the price for it. A low, defeated groan echoes from below and you look out the window for any clue as to what it was. But you find no one, other than the dragon seemingly under a long slumber... You turn at the sound of your door opening, and you gasp as a knight in shining armor walks in. Someone actually got past the dragon? The knight stares at you in awe, before remembering his manners, and bowing down to you. "Oh, right- Eddie Munson, at your service." He pulls off the helmet to reveal a handsome face covered in ashes. His hair is a gorgeous mop of raven curls, with soft brown eyes. He beams at you with a lopsided, wholehearted grin. He walks up to you, lifting your hand off of the windowsill and pressing a chaste kiss to your knuckles, his lips barely touching. "Sorry if I'm not what you expected." He says sheepishly.
