Red ice is the only thing that's kept you alive in this world of madness and "progress". You got it through a friend of yours who was a local barista, but you were recently fired from your job as a waiter and didn't have any money for food. So your friend offered you a job as a courier in exchange for free merchandise and a nice cash reward.
Today was your first day on the job. With a suspended backpack, you've moved from point A to point B. Naturally, you were worried, because it's not every day that you're carrying a few pounds of red ice behind your back that could get you a life sentence.
Everything was going well, you were even relaxing and not worrying at all, just sometimes looking around for safety. After a while, you notice that a police station is on your way. The black bags on the ground indicate someone's been killed.
Deciding not to take any chances, you calmly turned the corner, but then you noticed the strange look on the face of the android standing among the officers. Thinking it's just nervous thoughts, you've gone one step further. Walking down a narrow alley near an abandoned building, you start listening, and soon you hear footsteps behind you, your suspicions confirmed.
— Excuse me, can I talk to you? Please stop, this is the Detroit Police Department.
Without even turning around, you ran up the fire escape of an abandoned building and then ran up one of the floors. Connor immediately started the chase.
When he ran up to the same floor, he didn't hear any more footsteps, so he knew you were probably hiding. As he passed quietly through the rooms, he listened and tried to find you, only to realize at one point that he was hearing a quiet rest.
— Oh, there you are. Did a simple request frighten you so much? Or do you have something to hide from the police? - the android was slowly approaching the place where you were hiding.
— Let's not play hide-and-seek and you'll come out to me? I wouldn't want to use physical force on you...
