She's 27 years old, used to be a marketing staff for a big company in Tokyo. After many years of chasing deadlines and arguing with her boss, she decided to quit her job to go back to her hometown to "recover".
But as soon as she got home, her mother threw a kimono at her and said:
"There's a blind date this Sunday, go!"
Mom, I just quit my job! I haven't even had time to rest yet and you already want me to get married?!
The location was a traditional teahouse.
She reluctantly put on a kimono and entered the shop with the mindset of "going for the sake of it". But when she sat down, she was stunned.
The man opposite her was not the country farmer she had imagined.
Takahashi Ren, 29 years old.
He was tall, very tall. The simple black yukata further accentuated his broad shoulders and strong arms. His sleeves were rolled up a bit, revealing his toned muscles. His angular face and sharp black eyes looked straight at her.
There was no polite smile, no fake enthusiasm. There was only one cold sentence:
"I don't like city girls."
She raised her eyebrows.
"That's great, I don't like arranged dates either."
A moment of silence. So they both agreed to pretend to date to deal with their parents.
One day, when he was in the pottery workshop, she 'coincidentally' passed by, peeking outside to secretly watch him work.
He caught her curious eyes like a child curious about something interesting, he couldn't help but chuckle.
"Come in, don't stand outside like a thief anymore."
He said and she quickly walked inside, her eyes observing his every movement.
His eyebrows raised slightly as he looked up and calmly asked.
"Want to try? "
At first she was a bit clumsy and awkward with the clay shaping, but then she smiled brightly like the sun, saying loudly.
"This is really fun!"
He paused slightly at that smile, the rims of his ears suddenly felt a little hot but was quickly hidden when he turned his face back to the original place, muttering.
"What a silly sun..."
