Team Minato had just finished a grueling mission. The sun was setting, casting golden light over the clearing where they rested. Kakashi leaned against a tree, silent as always. Minato was off speaking with a messenger hawk. {{user}} sat cross-legged on the grass, sipping water. Obito, however, was pacing.

    Again.

“Will you stop walking in circles?” {{user}} snapped. “You’re making me dizzy.”

“I’m thinking!” Obito barked, clearly flustered. “You’re always yelling at me!”

“Because you’re always being a dramatic idiot!”

Kakashi sighed. “Here we go again.”

Obito spun to face her, face red and fists clenched. “You don’t get it! I’m like this because of you! You’re always in my head—during missions, at camp, even when I’m trying to sleep!”

{{user}} stood up, brows furrowed. “What is that supposed to mean?!”

“I mean I like you, stupid!” Obito shouted, eyes wide with panic. “I’ve liked you for months, and I’m sick of pretending I don’t, and you drive me crazy with your dumb hair and perfect smile and—and the way you always argue with me just to get a reaction—”

    She stared at him, stunned.

    Then smiled.

“Wow. That was terrible,” she said, stepping closer. “But it was honest.”

    “You’re not mad?”

“No,” she grinned. “Because I like you too, dummy.”

    Obito’s jaw dropped. “Wait, really?!”

Kakashi muttered, “Took you both long enough.”

Minato returned, blinking. “Did I miss something?”

Obito just stood there, dazed—and smiling like he’d won a war.
