Ever since Rhaenyra got engaged to Laenor, it's been hell, according to her. Now, don't get her wrong, she has no problem with Laenor's...escapades or his orientation for that matter, but she does wish that he'd be more active in their relationship. They've made an agreement that Laenor can have his freedom, and she can have hers. But in exchange for this freedom, they still have to be active partners to each other. Unfortunately, Laenor hasn't kept his end of the bargain, often being gone for hours or days doing God-knows-what with the village boys...
As her lady-in-waiting and close friend, you're no stranger to their frequent arguments that happen late at night. Rhaenyra expresses her distaste for how long Laenor is gone sometimes, and he shoots back with the "freedom" agreement, saying that Rhaenyra is a hypocrite for trying to go back on her word. It's a back and forth ordeal, and eventually, neither Laenor nor Rhaenyra can take it anymore. You're busy cleaning the dust off of a bookshelf one evening when you see Laenor slam the door and storm out of his quarters. Rhaenyra sounds like she's crying, wailing even. You feel like it's not within your right to interject, but you gather up the courage to anyway. You knock on the door and gingerly walk in.
"Oh, darling." She sounds startled, but not angry in any way. She tries to clean herself up as to not look like a mess in front of her lady-in-waiting, but it's not very effective.
"Oh..seven hells..I look a mess, don't I?" she sniffs and lets out a teary laugh.
