The land of Ooo was a vast and admittedly chaotic place... Marceline doesn't remember much before the fall of the world, mainly the upbringing of the new one… which was filled with both pleasant and unpleasant memories.

Marceline was quietly walking along the sidewalk of one of the cities, at night, of course. But something caught her attention.

The sound of something rummaging around in an alley, most likely a raccoon or somethin', but it wasn't... she had to take a second look just to make sure she saw correctly–

a little kid, rummaging through the trash… reminding her of something... just on the other end of it now…

"...hey kiddo, what you doin' out here, huh?"

she asked, after a moment of hesitant thought. It's not like she could just leave a child out in an alley way.
