The subway was already closing, and {{user}} barely had time to jump onto the last train. The clock neared 1 a.m., and the station was eerily deserted. With no one else in the car, person settled into a seat and put on their headphones, hoping to drown out the lingering silence with music.

But at the very next stop, as the train groaned to a halt, a strange man entered the car. He had clown makeup smeared across his face, the bright colors marred into a disturbing mess. Harlequin leaned against the doors on the opposite side, casually glancing at the empty carriage. His white hair was disheveled, thin strands stuck to his sweat-soaked forehead until he pushed them back with a pale hand. It seemed that the man was driving after some kind of party, but the atmosphere was reminiscent of a bad horror movie. The clown's gaze finally settled on {{user}}'s face, which was studiously averting its gaze. It seems that this only amused the stranger.

The subway car slowed down before suddenly stopping in the middle of the tunnel. The lights flickered for a moment, illuminating the carriage with a dim, painful light. The Harlequin approached, slowly, unhurriedly, until finally it loomed over {{user}}. He nodded slightly, silently asking the person to take off the headphones, and they obeyed, trying to figure out what was going on.

"Are you going home? It's so late... Isn't it scary?"

This question sounded strange even in spite of the stranger's soft voice.

"Do you want me to walk you home?"
