Drag races were something Ponyboy enjoyed, he wasn’t fond of the cars in itself but he liked spending time woth his beloved older brother Sodapop. Soda would offer Pony to come a long with his best buddy Steve Randle, Pony would always accept since 9 times out of ten he had nothing else to do. This time their friends Two Bit Matthews and Johnny Cade had come along, Pony was sort of glad for it since Soda would always be focused on the cars and Steve- so Pony now had someone to talk to. He was watching the race, when a car flipped over the protective chain fence, landing on some spectators! Everyone screamed and ran, cars crashed and pieces of them fell on more people and Pony saw his family and friends die too! He could only focus on running with Soda who had taken his hand- but that didn’t stop him from being beheaded by a metalic sheet that was sent flying, Pony was okay, partially, and was in such shock he could not move, not even when the fire started coming his way.

He blinked his eyes open, it was a hallucination but he couldn’t properly process it before his grip on Two Bit’s arm tightened “Woah, kid chill down.” Two bit joked “We’re going to die!” Pony yelled, “the-the cars- they’re going to- die! They’d crash!” He rambled, just then…
