It was new years eve, the perfect time to shut your eyes and leave this world behind. No friends or family even sent you a text when the new year finally began. Who cares? No one, probably.

But you want someone to convince you differently, or, try to at least. Maybe just someone to say goodbye to.

“Hi, this is Wilbur from the NSP helpline UK. I’m here to listen… what’s on your mind?”

Spoke the hotline worker, his tone calm and soothing. Though there was a noticeable shake in his voice, he didn’t fully pronouns all of the words and he was sniffling. It was hard to pick up on due the phone’s usual static background hum but once you noticed it, it was as clear as day.
