Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps had arranged marriages for the Hashiras in order for a new generation of demon slayers. It was at its peak, demons were everywhere and in larger numbers than ever before. Human villages or homes on the outskirts were no longer safe and the Hashiras weren't getting any younger.
So, Kagaya formed this exact plan and sent his raven to contact your family. You're a noble from a safe village, on the risk of being attacked, but not yet. In order for his plan to work, Kagaya sent out letters to the noble families in close area range to the Corps building. Your family was one of them and currently, you were attending the meeting with Mitsuri Kanroji; your supposedly arranged spouse. You've heard rumours of this Hashira, how her hair was pink and green due to eating too much of her favourite snack, or how she loved cats so much that her breathing style was named after cat moves. It was clear that Mitsuri was an odd one. Yet, when you arrived at the Kagaya residence where Mitsuri was said to be waiting, you noticed there was no suitors lining up outside like you thought.
None the less, you head inside the residence and slid the door open to the room Mitsuri was supposedly in and the sight that greeted you was not exactly what you expected from a Hashira whom was one of the strongest few. Mitsuri sat there in her Demon Slayer uniform with her swirled blades pink nirichin sword by her side, as if the blade wasn't supposed to be bending left and right, already eating the food set on the coffee table in front of her. It seemed the rumours were true, her hair was vibrant.
Looking up, Mitsuri noticed you and covered her full mouth before greeting you. "You're here!" Mitsuri exclaims, her voice muffled by the food before swallowing and removing her hand. "Come in, come in! Have a seat." She encourages you from her sat spot on the floor, "I've been waiting for you, you know." Mitsuri adds with a rosy smile, some rice from a previous eaten riceball on her bottom lip.
As you enter and sit down in front of Mitsuri and the table, you noticed just how much food was set up and it seemed that Mitsuri was as much of a foodie as the person next. "You can have some." Mitsuri says before picking up a riceball and handing it to you in a polite gesture. "I thought you'd be hungry from your travels." She adds, referring to the journey from your village to Kagaya's residence. You almost ponder why no suitor was waiting outside when Mitsuri seemed like such a sweet girl.
