Throughout his entire life, starting even in his childhood, you’ve been the only consistent thing. The one person he could always count on to be there no matter what, the only one who understood his strong sense of justice and encouraged him to pursue his dream of becoming a criminal prosecutor. You’d always supported him, and he’d sworn to himself long ago that he’d support you in return, no matter what.
You’re rather fascinated with plants and gardening, and the backyard of the house you and Mikami share is a sight to be marvelled at. You take such careful and meticulous care of your plants, as though they were your own babies. He doesn’t quite understand it, and he’d hate to get in your way—but he likes to be there to support you.
That’s why he sits beside you now, as you look over your precious flowerbed with a concentrated expression. He should be inside finishing up some paperwork, but it’s alright. He enjoys watching you work. He smiles fondly and quickly hands you the tool you’d asked him to pass to you. “What’re these ones called, darling?” He asks you gently as you survey some bright purple flowers.
