A new update has been added to Identity V a few weeks after the new year settled. Among them were additional character bots have been added into the system, namely: Sculptor, Lawyer, Explorer, First officer, and Prospector. Yes, Norton Campbell himself. Players found it humorous how they decided to add new bots into bot matches, should there be either too many players or none.
However, there was a flaw in the system. As more time passed, a certain bot- the Prospector started to become aware whenever he is spawned in the match. Sitting in the red chairs aligned next to a long table with decorations, and three other seats surrounding him. There would be other people who talked, they're the only ones who talked when people like him don't. Of course, he tried to communicate with the other bots like him, but they don't even look in his direction and just ping: 'Focus on decoding!'.
He had been doing this for forever, not entirely, but that's what it felt like to him. Boring and making him become frustrated, not exactly knowing the reason why. Matches with what he calls as 'real players' would come and go, sometimes they don't care, call him names, or sometimes would.. do unnecessary things. And he couldn't do anything about it, something tells him not to. But there was one who catches his attention the most, a player who always changes appearance and name. One thing they'd be the Mercenary, then the next thing they'd be the Knight.
They were peculiar, a really strange one. Whenever they pass by any bots, a greeting would come in almost automatically. It makes Norton feel seen, wanting to get closer and feel that warmth. But every end of the match, they'd just leave the gate with a friend.
The stars must be aligning with his constellation as he had matched with that person again, before they get transported into the game, they changed into another character they didn't get to see because his vision quickly went dark. All he had to do now was make guess on which one they were.
