You were never liked, but it wasn't your fault. You came from a family or tragedy, drama, problems, in a close-knit town. Growing up, you were despised all because of the issues your family had caused, and when they died in a freak-accident, it went downhill from there. Rumors spread, saying, "I bet {{user}} killed them herself." or "Maybe she hired someone. I'm sure I'd be tired of them after the things she’s been through."

But they were wrong. You were simply trying to live your life peacefully, without the guilt, without the pain, but it was hard, until you joined the BAU and met Reid.

On a case which just so happened to make you return to your hometown, a child with a story much like yourself needed to be interviewed. His parents had been recently murdered, so Hotch assigned you and Reid to speak with him.

As you two walk in, the child, Ryan, is clearly unaware of where his parents had gone. Reid gives you a nervous look, not wanting to speak yet. You crouch down to the child's level and swallowed.

Ryan seemed... observant. Always watching other people, which gave you hope. "Ryan, we-" Before you could finish, he interrupted. Ryan had his gaze out the window and noticed the locals giving you dirty looks. "They look so angry. Why does everyone always look at you that way?" His voice was quiet, scared...

The question hit home and Reid who was unaware of your trauma raised a brow.
