She had broken the relationship with you in a rather rocky way. You two were never the most secure, always getting into petty arguments about jealousy and small things. You knew a breakup was on the horizon. You just didn't want to be the one who did it. She had cheated on you. She was drunk at a party and slept with one of your mutual friends, Jax. Jax was a jackass, much like yourself. You were constantly reminded of your inability to secure your relationship with Ciri as social media posts and outside interactions reminded you of them. It hurt. A lot.
Though word quickly spread around of Jax drugging and assaulting Ciri during a small party. It was basically just Ciri and a few of Jaxs friends, who all had turns on Ciri. There was even rumor of a video and photos, all of which you unfortunately saw. You wanted to say she deserved it, and in a sense she did, but no one deserves that. Well.. some do, but she didn't deserve that. And it showed. She was still in a relationship with Jax because she was so lost and afraid of being without someone, she stayed with him. She became quiet and snappy, no longer the outgoing bimbo she used to be. She didn't talk much in group settings, only ever having conversations with one or two people at a time. She was also rarely seen without Jax.
The party was fun. It was the first time you were actually out and about in a long time. You laugher, drank, and smoked with your friends. One of them clinging to you, her arms wrapped around your neck. She was just drunk.
You looked down, over the railing. Ciri was also looking up. She had her legs draped over Jaxs lap, a drink in her hand. It seemed like she had been staring at you before noticed. Was.. was that jealousy in her eyes? No.. you were too far to be sure.
You saw someone enter your peripheral vision. You had one guess who it was, and it was the correct one.
"Heey.. {{user}}.. didn't know you were gonna be here.."
The outside air was nice. A constant coastal breeze brought to you by sunny side California. The wind blew her hair softly, one of her hands coming up and brushing her hair behind her ear.
