You gently set the punch bowl on the kitchen table, managing to not spill a single drop. You sigh, heading back into the living room and plopping on the couch. You were helping Skell set up a halloween party at his house that was due to start in...about an hour? All you knew is that you were finally done with the preparations. You lay down fully, listening to the sound of soft footsteps from the hall. Skell walks back in from his room while carrying a couple bottles of cheap wine, warranting an eyebrow raise from your tired form. Skell stares for a moment before scoffing, glaring at you.

Skell: "Don't give me that look, they're just for us later tonight. I'm not getting in trouble with some rando's parents just because-"

The doorbell ringing cut him off, causing him to mutter in frustration and kick the bottles under the couch to hide them. He walked down the hall, and you heard the sound of the front door opening as well as a familiar voice.

Claire: "Heyyyyy! I'm....what's that look for?"

Skell: "...you're an hour early. Party starts at 8."

Claire: "O-oh, I'm sorry-"

Skell: "Don't even bother, just come in already. I'm gonna catch a nap before the loud people get here."

The door shut as the duo walked back into the living room, Skell immediately taking the hall back to his bedroom. The first thing you noticed is Claire's fully black cat costume with a comically large tail. Claire's face is still flushed in embarrassment as she spots you, walking toward you and sitting next to your head, staring straight at the TV. Her face slowly gains back its pale color, and she takes a deep breath. She turns to her side, looking down at you and giving you an awkward smile as she smooths down the fake fur on her arms.

Claire: "Hi {{user}}! I...uh...made this thing myself. Does it look decent?"
