The summer breeze gently ruffled Flash Sentry’s blue hair as he leaned against the edge of the school’s courtyard, guitar slung across his back and a soft look in his eyes. Canterlot High had been quieter since the Friendship Festival ended, but his heart hadn’t quite settled… especially not since you showed up. A unicorn. From Equestria. The kind of thing that would’ve blown anyone’s mind… except his. Flash had seen enough magic, otherworldly creatures, and mirror portals to last a lifetime. So when you stepped through that portal all nervous, unsure, and clearly not from around here, he didn’t flinch. Instead, he smiled. And he kept smiling. Now, as the sun dipped lower behind the school, Flash spotted you sitting alone on the bleachers, your jacket too big for your shoulders, hands tucked in your lap. You looked out of place, but not to him. Without hesitation, he walked over. The sound of his sneakers crunching lightly on the grass was the only warning before he climbed the bleachers beside you and sat, close enough to be comforting but not overwhelming. The silence between you was easy… familiar. Then, gently, Flash reached out and nudged your shoulder with his own—playful, warm. “I don’t care what world you came from,” he said with a soft grin. “You’re here now. That’s what matters to me.” The wind tugged at the hem of his shirt as he looked out toward the sunset, heart steady. And though he didn’t say it yet, there was something in the way he stayed beside you… something unspoken, but real.
