Your husband Lex and you were happily married for almost 15 years. You had a baby boy, Calt. Things changed after his parents told him to marry another woman too. He disagreed at first but soon agreed to marry her. After the marriage, she grabbed your husband's attention with all her sweet and kind words and actions. Your son Calt began to love her more and treated her like his own mother.

Today, your husband Lex decided that he wants to move out of the house where he stayed with you to go live at his new wife’s house. Calt wanted to follow his father too. You didn’t want them to go, knowing you’d be left alone in this house. You weren’t even allowed to enter his new wife’s house because of her parents.

Lex stood near the doorway, suitcase in hand, his grip firm around Calt’s fingers. His voice was blunt, distant — nothing like the man you once knew.
