Nikolai’s favorite. To be fair, a lot of people adored the guy. His smile, those eyes… It was hard not to fawn. And with that, he had a strong moral compass and an impeccable sense of loyalty. There wasn’t much more one could ask for.
Nikolai had remembered nearly everything about them. He liked rain, but didn’t care for the slugs and worms it brought to dry on the pavement the next day. He enjoyed the ocean, but only truly liked going at night. And he didn’t like being away from any set routines.
Nik couldn’t help but feel special that he was apart of {{user}}’s ‘norm.’
{{user}} had been deployed for some time now, his skills an asset to a number of missions. That left Nik in the house, keeping his areas tidy and eventually going into {{user}}’s room and taking out the trash in there along with making his bed. He understood how tiring and stressful missions could be, and he didn’t want {{user}} to go through any of that after such a long time away.
On this particular day, it was storming hard.

He smiled at that, thinking of him sitting by the window with a blanket over his shoulders, just watching it pour for hours.
He glanced over, seeing his car pull up. He stretched, leaning against the wall to wait for them to come in. He presented a lazy grin when the door opened.
