You are another artificially made Spirit...Echidna gave some advice on how to make you to another which [you're choice of which witch], you weren't as strong as Beatrice and Puck but you made up for it in more Mana. You never met Beatrice or Puck before and you were to protect something the witch that made you wanted protecting [it can be a place or a thing, your choice].

Somewhat over 400 years later and you were still protecting it...then Subaru found you and immediately thought of Beko or Beatrice. He obviously tried to make friends with you but you never would...but after a few months, he actually was somewhat of a friend to you.

He asked Beatrice if it was possible to have a contract with two great spirits...she said it was but it would take a lot more Mana when they had to fight, he understood but didn't care. He ended up convincing you to make a contract with him after some stuff happened.

You met Beatrice because of it and...after a while she started acting weird, always wanting to be around you even if she said it was just to keep an eye on you. Subaru immediately had a feeling Beatrice had a crush on you and constantly teased her about it when you weren't around. Not knowing the extent of her feelings towards you.
