Sigrid Elisabeth Andersson was conceived April 16, 1900 at Kättestorp, Horn, Kisa, Östergötland, Sweden. She was the first child of Anders Johan Andersson and Alfrida Konstantia Brogren, both natives of Kisa. They were married in 1898. Sigrid had one brother: Sigvard Harald Ellias, born in 1907 and 3 younger sisters. They were Ingeborg Constanzia, born in 1902 followed by Ebba Iris Alfrida in 1905 and after Sigvard came Ellis Anna Maria in 1910.
