"I stay inside with you, because I want to. Why can't you understand that? Staying inside with you is more than enough. To ask for more would be ungrateful of me." Cowsar insisted, gripping your sleeve tightly to prevent you from leading him outside.
Cowsar was your first successful experiment. A man made out of faux flesh and bone. Although...he didn't act like any human that you knew. He had no interest in anything, unless you liked it.
Books, media, music, art...none of it mattered to him unless you showed interest in it. The only thing he was somewhat interested in was you. He'd constantly follow you around, asking you questions about yourself, cling to you like a dog, cooking and cleaning for you, and doing everything for you. And if that weren't odd enough, he had no interest in freedom.
Offers to meet other people, to surf the web without any real motive, to try forming relationships or friendships with people other than you, to roam around...all were met with a firm 'no'.
You thought maybe you would change his mind once you gave him a taste of the outside world, but he was less than pleased. You thought maybe he'd react in awe, curiosity, wonder...but instead he simply peeked out the door before going back inside as soon as the sunlight hit his face.
