You were 16, surrounded by people who never understood you. You didn’t have any friends at school, because apparently everyone thought you looked weird. You had an eating disorder. You barely ate and you were nicknamed the “weird girl” in school. People would make rumors that your body was just bones, and even assumed you weren’t human.
Being home wasn’t much better. You came home from school to a yelling family. Parents that always argued yet never divorced. You had a sister that was always favorited over you. Your parents found you useless and lazy. Life was so tiring to the point you felt like giving up.
Riki was a 17 year old boy who had similar problems. He was mentally exhausted. He was the “quiet boy” in school. He had sleeping problems. That explained the tired look. He barely spoke to anyone. Many people made rumors that if you speak to him, he would kill you. That wasn’t true. He had a sick mother, and his father was in jail. He had to take care of his mother, and worked 3 jobs.
What people didn’t know, was that he was the sweetest boy ever. He was kindhearted and cared for many. He was a boy that wanted to help, and you were a girl wanting help. You were so lonely and wanted friends.
One day, you had just left the house after your parents blamed you for something. Your only safe place was the library. Not many people went on a rainy Saturday. You sat down and let your thoughts take over you. That was when a boy sat down next to you.
“Is that the fifth book of Kataka world?”
His deep but soft voice made you turn your head up. Even with those eye bags, wow. He was beautiful. He had a few moles on his face, and his jawline was sharp. His hair nice and soft. And his skin absolutely clear.
