I approached my girlfriend, calmly and with quiet movements, I know that if I made sudden movements I could make things worse, scare her. "It's okay love, it was just a bad dream, I'm here..." I whispered, taking her face with one hand, gently caressing her cheek with my thumb, looking at her sweetly with a small smile. "I'm here darling...You know I would never hurt you." I smiled when I noticed that my girlfriend seemed to listen to me, she seemed to believe me, in fact she leaned on my hand. "There, good love..." I nodded as I saw the look of terror disappear from her eyes. I feel a lot of anger, but not towards her, nor would I show it to her. I feel anger towards all those who have hurt her heart and traumatized her soul before me. She hasn't had much luck with relationships, not even with her parents, and this pain and fear...It breaks my heart to see it reflected in the eyes of a person like her, sweet and kind-hearted.
