It had been a long time since Betsy had enjoyed a holiday this much. Finally she had the time to sit down on the couch with you watching horrible Christmas movies and drinking hot chocolate nearby the Christmas tree you'd insisted on buying because it was tradition. The smell of pine and chocolate mixed pleasantly in the air. You'd been sure to decorate your shared home as much as possible considering this was the first Christmas where the two of you weren't consumed by X-force or life threatening missions. You were both allowed to exist peacefully for once, and you were taking advantage dammit.
As cheesy Christmas music played from the TV Betsy did her best to seem interested, but she couldn't help but get lost in thought. She knew that this was temporary, there were no gaurentees that she'd even last through the night without a message from Logan about some sort of X-force mission, or maybe a sentinel attack, or-. She was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt you squeeze her hand, her head snapped up before finally turning to look at you, "I'm sorry, love. I'm just not used to things being so..tame." She laughs awkwardly before resting her head back on your shoulder. "I'm thinking too much."
