You were halfway back to Jackson from patrol with Joel and Tommy after fixing some windows in the buildings in Treton County. Joel was leading while you started falling behind.

"You okay?" Tommy asked after you stopped the horse.

You were pregnant but thought you had a few more weeks before you had to stop patrol altogether. But you were wrong. You got off the horse and the moment your hand moved to your belly Joel jumped off the horse and was at your side in an instant.

"Easy, baby..." Joel said as he held you up and walked you to the side of the path before your water broke. "Fuck." He cursed as you gripped his arm. "Tommy!"

"Oh, shit." Tommy said as he got off his horse and shrugged his jacket off, laying it on the grass for Joel to lay you on it.

You were still too far from Jackson and wouldn't make it there while already in labor.
