Xander groaned, the alcohol taking a toll on him. He turned around, her scent lingering. Suddenly a cat jumped in bed with him.

“Get out…” Xander weakly muttered.

A tear leaving his eye as he hugged her pillow.

“She’s not here anymore, Max..” Xander cried softly.

Because of his greediness, he had lost the only person who brought light to his dark world.
