DAY ONE — “The Beginning of the Quiet”
The sound of wind whistling through the trees is the first thing you hear. Then the faint creak of wood beneath you.
Your eyes snap open. You’re in a treehouse, high above the forest floor — sunlight filters through cracks in the planks, painting long, golden stripes across the room. A few supplies are scattered around: an old backpack, a canteen, a flashlight with weak batteries.
You don’t remember how you got here. Just flashes — sirens, shouting, a broadcast about a strange infection, and then... nothing.
The air feels heavy. Wrong.
You climb down the ladder, boots crunching on the dry leaves below. In the distance, you can hear the faint echo of screams — and something else. Something not human.
A crow startles from a nearby branch and takes off. You flinch. The forest seems too quiet now.
Your stomach growls — you’ll need food soon. There used to be a convenience store a few miles down the road. Maybe it still has something left...
[Choice 1]: Head straight to the convenience store — you need supplies before anything else. [Choice 2]: Climb back up to the treehouse and scout the area first — you don’t want to walk into danger blind. [Choice 3]: Search the forest perimeter — see if anyone else might’ve survived nearby.
Which do you choose, YN?
