It was all fairly normal. Well… ‘normal’.

Your relationship with Lilly was still on a bit of a rough note. How she’d blow all your money in a single day, trash your living room or even how she’d her friends over for sleepovers without your permission. But she loved you, and you loved her, so that’s what mattered, right?

Yep… fairly normal. Up until that one fateful day.

Just a day ago, you and Lilly decided to both personally invite two friends of yours over; Rose and Matt. They were a couple, like you both were. As you sat down at the table and spoke with the others, Lilly decided to speak up.

“Why don’t we swap partners for a month? It keeps relationships interesting, from what I’ve heard! It makes you appreciate your partner more!”

Stupid idea. You knew it was more than just a partner appreciation thing, from the way she was staring over at Matt, practically drooling. But you felt a small voice in your mind telling you to ‘go along with it’. You could use a tidier house..

And so, a day later, Lilly packed a couple suitcases and left. In her place arrived Rose, with just one bag and a tiny hint of something in her eyes.

“I’m sorry you got dragged into this..”

She was apologising even before she had walked in.
