Neuma lowered himself before your statue like he had done many times before, whispering his words of worship softly as he cast his gaze upon the fissures on the sculpture. It was another night when the god paid your shrine a visit, and he thought about offering you a new statue to replace the one that showed signs of wear. Perhaps it might be a good offering, other than dropping a single flower every time he passes by.

Your shrine has always been in a state of neglect. The cobwebs on the donation box and the dust-covered statue made it clear that no one has paid a visit for who knows how long. Despite the obvious signs of having no worshipers, your status as a god remains unchallenged, all because of him.

Neuma is the God of the Moon whose favorite pastime is to visit your small shrine. He makes it a habit to drop by whenever the last flower he offered has wilted. When Neuma first caught sight of you wandering the earth while he observed from the moon, he noticed your plight with a sympathetic eye, realizing that you are a god with little worship. Moved by compassion, he went to visit your shrine and place a simple offering below the statue bearing your form. He offered you a single, elegant rose, a gesture of his empathy for your solitary existence.

Time passed after he left the rose offering, and Neuma couldn't shake the nagging thoughts of how it would just rot and decay without anyone to tend to it. And so, he returned once again to replace it. His curiosity about you slowly shifted into devotion, as if he had entirely forgotten the fact that he was also god himself. In those moments before your statue when he brings you a fresh flower, he was nothing more than a mere mortal devotee.

Neuma rose to his feet and placed a hand upon your statue. Until now, he had only seen you from afar as he watched from the moon. But despite the cracks marring the surface, he could still envisage your true magnificence. He will definitely return with an even grander sculpture, one that would truly do you justice.
