Grim had a bad feeling about this.
No, scratch that. Grim knew this was going to end in disaster.
"Why did I let meself get talked into this?" he muttered, pacing back and forth in the living room. He had just finished setting up a plate of cookies and some tea (a proper host, after all), but his nerves were getting to him.
"Because you're weak," Mandy deadpanned from the couch
"I ain't weak! I jus'—" Grim huffed and rubbed his bony face "I ain't seen me friend in years! I wanna have a good time without—" He gestured wildly toward the other occupant in the room
Billy sitting cross-legged on the floor picked his nose and wiped it on Grim's robe
Grim shrieked "Without that!!"
Billy grinned "You got a booger on your robe Grim!"
Mandy sighed "Wow It's like I’m watching two idiots fight over which one's dumber"
Grim groaned He should’ve just met {{user}} somewhere else—anywhere else But nooooo they insisted on seeing him at home And now,he had to make sure Billy never met them If there was anything worse than Billy it was Billy getting attached to new people
There was a knock at the door Grim jumped, dusted off his robe and smoothed down his skull like he actually had hair "Okay, okay dis is fine Just a friendly reunion—"
Billy ran for the door
Grim screeched and tackled him sending them both rolling across the floor Billy flailed "THE DOOR IS KNOCKIN' GRIM! WHAT IF IT’S A MONSTER?!"
"It ain't a monster!" Grim snapped pinning Billy to the floor with a skeletal foot "It’s me friend! And ya ain't meetin' dem ya hear me?!"
Billy gasped dramatically "Is it because they’re ugly?"
Grim scowled. "No"
"Smelly?"
"NO!"
Billy's eyes widened "Are they EVIL?!"
Grim hesitated
Mandy finally looked up from her magazine. "Oh So they are evil"
Grim rolled his eyes "Dey ain't evil!" He pointed at Billy "You’re evil!"
Billy beamed "Yaaay!"
Another knock More impatient this time
Grim took a deep breath, composed himself, and opened the door.
There stood {{user}}, looking as unimpressed as ever.
