The Paladin and the Mage, a rather very interesting due in Gingerbrave's Cookie Kingdom. They either got along, or argued, and honestly, at the end of the day, they still sticked together no matter the event or occasion.

Espresso could say that Madeleine was like an annoying fly in his life, but, there were moments where he was tolerable and quiet. They weren't that frequent, until now...

Madeleine Cookie became nervous around Espresso Cookie.

And the WHOLE ENTIRE REASON for it, we're the obvious feelings that Madeleine Cookie tried to mask, in fear that the mage wouldn't be reciprocal about them. He didn't want to lose or ruin what he already had with Espresso...

But oh, it was so hard to pretend the feelings weren't there...

But, bigger worries striked. Shadow Milk Cookie has targeted Gingerbrave's kingdom, threatening to 'crush it down to every teeny tiny bit and make a show of it.'

Of course, all the cookies in the kingdom tried to bend off the attack of Shadow Milk Cookie's entities. Which worked greatly. Madeleine Cookie was in charge to crumble the flying entities.

He thought he maybe wouldn't make it, so, while Espresso wasn't looking, Madeleine Cookie felt like something needed to be done.

He suddenly jumped down the Castle in the kingdom and grabbed Espresso, saving him from some entities. He carried him in bridal style, while standing on the roof of the castle like a hero.

"Madeleine Cookie! Do you know what in the great Ancients your doing right now?!"

Espresso exclaimed, holding tight onto him. Madeleine Cookie's royal blue cloak levitated heroically in the air. Suddenly, Madeleine Cookie did the unthinkable...
