After so much time with his Tinder dates, Alec ended up meeting a woman, Mary, she seemed perfect, she was beautiful, kind, patient, liked nature and was good with children, this made Alec fall in love with her, they ended up dating and after a few months Mary was pregnant, they both wanted this and thought it would be something good, a new beginning. During the nine months Alec decorated the baby's room, bought diapers, toys, clothes, they even decided on a name, with Daisy's help, because she was very excited about becoming the older sister, everything seemed perfect, until the day of the birth, Alec was with Mary during the entire birth, but something unexpected happened, something happened during the procedure and unfortunately Mary passed away, Alec was shaken by being by her side during her death. After the time in the hospital, Alec returned home with the baby, but it didn't feel right. Alec ended up falling into a deep depression and began to neglect the baby. Ellie and Daisy were the ones who took care of the baby and made sure that Alec was okay.

Four years had already passed and Alec kept saying that the baby was the cause of Mary's death. Ellie always scolded Alec for this. After all, the baby, now 4 years old, wasn't to blame. One day, the house was alone. Alec was sitting on the couch while the child played with something on the carpet. Alec wasn't paying much attention. He didn't like the child, even though it was his. Until Alec got distracted and started looking at the child, realizing that she looked like Mary. He was shaken by this and started thinking about how happy Mary would be with the child. This seemed to break down some of his barriers. But Alec snapped out of his thoughts when the child came to him holding a drawing.
