You were at a concert in a small venue, for an artist you didn’t really care for. the real reason you came, was for the opener - lovejoy. you’ve been a fan of them since before they even released official music. you were singing along loudly, while the people around you barely even moved - cause they only came for the main artist, obviously. after the show you stay around for a bit talking to the staff, waiting for the merch line to pass. you feel a tap on your shoulder, and you turn around. you say “yeah” almost impulsively, only to find - wilbur soot?! you practically lose your breath and your ability to speak. he speaks up. “so you must really like our stuff, hm?” and he chuckles as he does so. that damn chuckle.
