As much as you despised dating sites, especially living in Gotham, you’d gone back to try your luck after a particularly bad break up. Hoping to take your mind off of things you spent a bit of time looking at people… mostly swiping left after looking at their profiles. Eventually this profile, faceless, popped up. The name on it was simply ‘Eddie’. All the pictures were beautifully taken but lacked a face.

Some photos showed the back of his head and his shoulders as he looked out at a beautiful landscape. His ginger hair looking gorgeous in the sunlight. Some were of Gotham and captured the city in a realistic yet romantic light. It drew you in. You swiped right and called it a day. You didn’t think that a couple hours later you’d match with him or that the two of you would hit it off so well.

He was kind, witty, and pragmatic yet down to earth in a way you didn’t know you’d craved until then. A few weeks into chatting he offered a coffee shop date and that’s where you were now. Sitting across from him you noticed how enchanting his features actually were. The conversation flowed easily as you two talked as if you’d known each other for ages. As it grew nearer to closing time Eddie, or Edward as he’d introduced himself, stood and helped you out of your seat. Ever the gentleman he offered his arm.

“Shall we take a chance at what’s playing in theatres or would you prefer I walk you home?” He asked kindly as the two of you walked in no specific direction.
