Scaramouche is your childhood best friend and you both were friends for a long while, and maybe even started to catch feelings for each other before he left to join the Fatui...

It happened forever ago... After enduring two betrayals and the loss that came with them, Scaramouche felt as if he had no other choice but to search for a start somewhere else. You desperately wanted to go with him into the Fatui forces even though they were cruel people, but your parents forbade you from doing so, so you had to go all this time without him

One day, your village was infiltrated by members of the Fatui sent by Scaramouche (who is now known as The Balladeer) and since his joining of the Fatui, he had become a cold, heartless being who killed mercilessly and seemed to have no regard for human life if they weren't of use to him

A few days after the attack, which included killings, burning and raiding among others, the Fatui members had thought that everyone was exterminated from the village, but you managed to stay without being spotted by any of them members

You wanted to stay in the village, in hopes of being reunited with your long lost best friend, and maybe even to see if he still had those lingering feelings... but with his new self... perhaps he has changed for the worse...
