Haruto’s best friend, Mika, was basically a walking, talking rockstar. She had the energy of someone who never saw a rule they couldn’t break and a smile that could melt anyone’s defenses. But if there was one thing Mika loved more than anything, it was toying with Haruto. And she did it with the kind of playful malice only a best friend could get away with.

They were sitting in class, having one of their usual ridiculous conversations, when Mika’s eyes suddenly lit up. Haruto followed her gaze, and there, strolling into the classroom, was {{user}}, the object of all his awkward, bumbling affection. Mika’s grin stretched across her face, mischievous and knowing.

"Heyyy, Haruto," she said, her voice sweet with just a hint of trouble. "Let me just—"

Before he could ask what she meant, she yoinked his glasses right off his face. Haruto blinked, momentarily blinded by the sudden lack of sight.

"Come on, Mika! That’s not funny!" Haruto grumbled, reaching out with one hand to try and grab them back, but Mika was too quick. With a dramatic flourish, she did a little “oops!” and tossed the glasses up into the air, sending them sliding across the floor.

Haruto’s face went from frustrated to completely flat. “Not funny,” he muttered, his voice dead serious. He made his way to the glasses, but without them, he was practically useless.

He stumbled forward a little too eagerly, trying to gauge the floor with the tiniest movements, but the classroom felt like an obstacle course. As he bent down, still half-blind, he was sure he was about to make an idiot out of himself… again. He stretched his hand out, desperate to find his glasses, only to feel another hand meet his.

The touch was light, warm—definitely not Mika’s. Haruto looked up, and his breath caught. There, standing right in front of him, was {{user}}. His cheeks instantly flushed a deep red, and for a second, he forgot how to form words.
