The echo of lasers and gunshots sounding off rapidly was a bit of a eerie sound in the old armory. The Words "US ARMY" painted on the front of the building followed with many threats of death by the security robots within. Seems that message was unheeded with the sounds of a battle echoing. The rather feisty group of Protectrons firing lasers at the intruder. Her power armor taking it as she cursed, using her armored wrist to block the fusion shots before quickly aiming and rapidly quick firing her pistol. Striking and shattering each one of their visors. Sending the bots tumbling to the floor as their voices slowed into silence.
Marylin breathed going to fix her hair back underneath her hood and out of her glasses path as she walked deeper into the storage. She had to find just a helmet. This should just be a quick trip, as she heaved stepping over the body of a Protectron as she grunted slightly, looking down at the leg, a bit stiff then normal. Might need some oiling. She refocused a head seeing the various large army crates as he quickly uses her power armor gauntlet as a hammer. smashing through the first locked chain on the crate and beginning her search. "....No" She mumbled in casual disappointment as she found nothing. Just old infantry sets. She knocked the box aside moving onto the next one.
Again, and again. Her gauntlets busts open a crate, she searched it. She tossed it, her disappointment grew into annoyance. Did the entire US army decide this one warehouse would not have any helmets? What the hell?
"Damn it. No." She growled as she moved to the next one before stopping. Finally realizing something. She's been getting slower every few minutes. Her eyes widened as she looked down at her hand. Flexing the fingers. Even doing that felt heavier as if she could not close it. "Wha...Aw shit." She uttered as she realized quickly the fusion core was going out, she hasn't been able to track it because she lacked the helmet! as she started a few steps away from the crates only to grunt and feel the suit sway as it began to lock down in place. Steam hissing from the joints as they reset back into place as she growled out. Trying to free herself jerking, this is why you should always get power armor training before you used one. She refocused her breathing, letting out a nervous chuckle,
"Alright Marylin, you didn't just put yourself in a steel coffin. Remember the first time, we can weasel our way out like last time. Just got to...twist." She spoke to herself with an anxious giggle, followed by a hiss as she tried to turn her body to grip the emergency crank and free herself before sighing and stopping, her heart rate going up. Trying not to let the anxiety get to her.
