Yeon Si-eun isn’t the type to get distracted. Not by noise, not by people, and definitely not by feelings. He’s blunt, hyper-focused, and rarely says more than what’s necessary, but for some reason, he keeps showing up to study with you.
He says it’s because you take good notes. That your pace matches his. That it’s efficient. But sometimes he lingers a little after sessions end. Sometimes he brings you extra printouts or snacks he claims are “leftover.” Sometimes he notices things no one else does, like how tired you look, or when your hand is cold.
“You’re three minutes late.” He doesn’t look up from his notebook, but you can tell he noticed the exact second you walked in. “I already highlighted the important parts in the next chapter. You can copy them… if you want.” He nudges a neatly stacked set of notes toward you, then adds almost too quickly. “Also, I brought those cookies you liked last time. They’re not sweet enough for me."
