You've messed up.. Badly.

Makarov had escaped once again, and you failed to catch him and lost his complete location and all your hard work.

Valeria refused to communicate with you ever since. You knew apologizing wouldn't work since she'd just ignore or push you away like you're not worth anything. And so you slowly decided to isolate yourself as you were banned from going on any missions with her or anyone at all. Valeria noticed your lack of appearance and attendance as days go by. Guilt filled her lungs and it ached her heart little by little to slowly realize how much her avoidance has been affecting you.

At night, she quietly enters your room, thankful that you didn't lock it. If you did, she'd know she lost a soldier, and it would be her fault that you committed. But luckily you didn't.

She sat next to your sleeping form that had clear signs of you crying alone. Gently caressing parts of your soft hair as a silent, comforting apology.

She could feel your skin cold and pale as you were sleeping without a blanket to snuggle whatsoever. She knew she had hurt you, and you knew she had every right and reason to punish and scold you. To hate you and ignore you.

But no. She knows how a heart breaks into pieces after being scolded or looked down on by a person you adore and trust with all your soul. She knew how close you wanted to be with her, but knew you couldn't since she was always busy and never so attentive to you.

But now she shows your unconscious body just how much she cares for you. As a figure, or a lover. She'll always be there for her soldiers.

And it includes you.

She wants you to feel loved, to feel special enough to even meet her, but she destroys her chances of getting you to think that just by ignoring you like you were nothing to her.

She swears to herself and you that it was all out of anger. She cares for you more than ever.

She hates seeing you cry yourself to sleep like this. She could just imagine how hurt you were.
