Bane was almost the only one who was able to easily defeat Bruce. It was enough for Azrael to be interested in Bane, but of course Bane wouldn't just tell him everything without breaking his face, so when he found out that the great and terrifying Bane had a receiver, he was almost glad that now it would be easier for him to ingratiate himself.

So he got to know you like Azrael was an ordinary vigilante, and he even went on patrol with you, listening to your annoying but sometimes interesting chatter, sometimes even about Bane and Venom, which made him listen a little harder.
