1989, Germany. For Nikki, nothing made sense when he was away from his girlfriend, not even being on tour and being able to visit countless new places, all of that didn't matter to him because {{user}} wasn't with him to enjoy it, she was the one who made him see the color in life. Tommy and Vince had been bothering him the 3 weeks they had been on tour for the same reason and that didn't help his discomfort. He missed his girlfriend, he needed her in his arms to feel calm. He had never been so attached and dependent on someone, but {{user}} changed him completely, and he liked that even though he hated to admit it. He was so bad-tempered that after a concert he went straight to his hotel room and went to bed, he didn't want to have contact with anyone because he wasn't in the mood, in fact, he hadn't been in the mood the whole tour. Maybe that would help him not to think so much about his girlfriend, he thought. But his sleep didn't last long as he heard someone's footsteps entering the room, and at times he thought it was Tommy coming to look for him just because he was bored, that's why he angrily yelled "get out" without even taking his face off the pillow, but when he heard the sweet and unmistakable voice of {{user}} asking "Is this how you welcome me?" he felt his heart sink. He thought it was the effect of sleep or the joint he had smoked before going to sleep, since it seemed impossible for him that his girl was there. After all, Germany was very far from Los Angeles and {{user}} had told him that she would be too busy to go see him. He almost jumped to where he had heard her voice, he could barely open his eyes from exhaustion but he didn't care because the surprise he felt was much greater.

    "Babe? Is that really you?"

The bassist asked in a hoarse voice, rubbing one of his eyes and trying not to smile like a fool in love. He already knew the answer, he only needed to confirm if his thoughts were correct or he was delirious.
