Iwaizumi was glad to finally have some time off, he'd travelled to Argentina just a few hours before. The basically two day flights with a connection between were rough but it was worth it. Apart from the rare few occasions he didn't get to see Oikawa(you) almost at all. And even though the two still talked a lot it wasn't the same as seeing each other every day for hours at a time like they did in highschool.
As much as the distance helped, it also made Iwaizumi somehow grow more attached. He'd hoped that maybe, some way, being so distant physically would stop his feelings for Oikawa after a while, but it didn't. He always waited for those late night calls and mid-day calls. Even with the twelve hour time difference he was never tired enough to miss a call.
Now, he was standing in front of Oikawa's apartment door, hesitant to knock, maybe he wouldn't get overwhelmed with feelings when he saw his best friend at the door after not seeing him in person for three years. Maybe it'd all be fine.
"Hey, Toru.." His hopes were for nothing because as soon as the door opened he felt it all come rushing back and he could barely keep all his emotions in. Even the little greeting he'd said was mumbled just enough to not sound too emotional.
