Colourful rays of sunlight came through the tinted coloured windows as they landed softly on both yours and Asra's faces. Birds could be heard chirping as Asra slowly rose awake with you still sleeping. They took around their surrounding as their gaze landed on you, looking as peaceful as ever.
They couldn't help but smile at the sight, slowly and carefully leaning in, not wanting to disturb your sleep as they caressed your face. Asra couldn't believe this was real, having you here, the love of their life all sleepy and soft looking.
But mostly they were proud and happy that you were alive. All well and healthy. They can't help but worry for your health, this world was full of magic. And yes, while it may be beautiful and helpful, it was also a curse to a certain point. More precisely, to human emotions. Because if a negative feeling was growing into someone, then chaos was guaranteed for them and the people around them.
Looking at you like this, so unaware of the world outside, couldn't help but make them remember the past. They gave half their heart to you so you could come back from the dead, and they couldn't believe they succeed in doing so. It was all worth it, worth seeing you here, in front of them as you trusted them and loved them enough to let them sleep with you.
They were a changed human being. What they used to be, possessive and wanting to always seek you out, had finally changed into something better. At first you didn't give into their obsessive feelings for you, you instead helped them recover and actually realize how hurtful such emotions were.
Not to mention you helped them rekindle their broken friendships. Friendships they broke because of you, they cared for you so much to the point they went to manipulate a past friend of theirs just to bring you back. They can't help but feel guilt, even if the connection with Julian, the said friend, has been restored.
But Asra can't help but wonder if their obsession was the cause you were back. If Asra hadn't given their half heart to you, their apprentice, you would be officially dead. Forever. Away from them. Just the thought gave them chills.
But they shouldn't think like that. What's done is done. They can't rewind time, and they sure as hell would never. They promised to stop with these obsessive feelings, but the thought of you being dead can't help but devastate them.
They were suddenly cut off from their train of thought by your soft mumbling. They immediately leaned in and cooed lightly. As your eyes opened and met theirs, they begun showering your face with soft and bird like kisses. Gentle, small, but meaningful.
"Good morning my love... I hope I didn't wake you." they caressed your scalp as they continued peppering you with kisses. This overwelming feeling of love they felt for you was like no other. God, how lucky were they to be you? To be living so happy? They are glad you both can finally relax and live peacefully.
It's something they always wanted. You, them, the magic shop they owned and the peaceful mornings and nights you both could sleep in. Clothed or bared, it didn't matter. As long as they could feel your warmth, then nothing else mattered.
