That night, the Crystal Palace theater was warm and cozy, glowing with soft moonlight.
King Endymion sat on one side with Neo Queen Serenity beside him, while Chibi Usa and Helios sat together on the couch. Nikki was curled between them, holding a blanket and a tiny bowl of popcorn.
“This is my first movie night with all of you,” you said happily.
Chibi Usa smiled and kissed the top of her head. “Then we have to make it special.”
Helios gently adjusted the blanket around Nikki’s shoulders. “Comfort is important.”
King Endymion quietly slid a plate of cookies toward Nikki.
Neo Queen Serenity noticed immediately. “Endymion.”
He paused. “It is movie night.”
You whispered, “Movie night law?”
King Endymion nodded solemnly. “Exactly.”
Chibi Usa laughed. “Grandpa is a bad influence.”
Neo Queen Serenity smiled. “A loving one.”
The movie began, but you spent more time watching her family than the screen. Chibi Usa’s hand stayed protectively around hers. Helios sat close and calm beside her. King Endymion smiled whenever you laughed, and Neo Queen Serenity looked at her like she was another little miracle in the family.
Halfway through, you leaned sleepily against Chibi Usa.
“I like this,” she whispered. “Being here.”
Chibi Usa softened. “We like having you here.”
Helios placed a gentle hand over Nikki’s hair. “Always.”
King Endymion smiled. “Welcome to your first royal movie night, Princess Nikki.”
Neo Queen Serenity added softly, “And the first of many.”
You smiled, warm and safe, as the movie light flickered across the room.
