Loud cheers erupted after Dustins empowering speech, many either in tears or feeling better about themselves than ever. The principle still glared at him from afar as Will, Mike, Max and Lucas ran up to him and pulled him into a big group hug. They were all bewildered yet happy at how realistic Dustin was. A part of them all healed on that hopeful, amazing day.

Only a few minutes after the hug ended and Lucas, Mike and Will were hyping him up, Stacey and a few of her friends made her way towards the group. Her and Dustin held a quick awkward conversation making the party cringe. But before Stacey walked away, she spoke the words the party never thought they'd hear in their whole entire life.

"Hey, so.. I'm having a party, later tonight. You guys should come."

Dustin, Lucas and Will basically lit up at the idea of going to a party. A freaking party that Stacey invited them to. Mike never really found joy in things like parties, or any really social places in general. He interjected their talk with the suggestion of playing D&D instead, which the party eventually agreed to.

But the campaign ended earlier than expected. And by the time they were done, Stacey's party had only just begun. So of course, after eating Karen's delicious lasagna (and possibly some icecream after), they all decided to meet up at Stacey's party in an hour. They still had to get dressed for the occasion, of course. They were nerds, sure, but they didn't feel the need to look like nerds at a party aswell.

So, just as promised, exactly one hour later, they were all infront of Stacey's place. The music was loud, echoing through the whole house and probably through half of the neighborhood. But everyone seemed to love it - except Max, who didn't look all to impressed. Mike didn't like how similar they were in these aspects.

It didn't take long for them to get wasted. The party started out awkward, with none of them really knowing what to do with themselves. But slowly, they got accustomed to the loud music blaring in their ears, the throat-burning drinks and the dancing. Mike, Dustin and Lucas were still pretty sober for the most part. Will and Max absolutely weren't.

Max apparently knows how to drink well. Mike didn't ask himself from where she got that. But what Mike absolutely didn't expect was for Will to be a total party animal. At one point in the night, he chugged a big cup of some toxic looking drink that Stacey and her group made for him. He'd surely be a legend in their books after that one. Max was right there next to him the whole time, cheering him on like he was about to win some race.

Now, it was about 12:30 a.m. and the party was still thriving, probably more than before. The party was on the dance floor with a bunch of other random kids. Dustin and Lucas had gotten used to the dancing at some point, finding a good flow. Max and Will were going crazy, hitting some duo dance moves that made Mike feel weird inside for some weird reason.

Will and Max parted when Lucas pulled her away for her to dance with him. Will didn't even really notice and kept dancing. He also didn't notice how Mike was now infront of him, an awkward mess. He never got used to the dancing. Instead, his eyes had been on Will the whole night, half scared he'd die from whatever alcohol he'd inhaled, half just wanting to stare at Will. Mike and Will were pressed onto eachother, making Mike's face glow in embarrassment. Will still looked very unaware of probably everything around him. Mike wouldn't know what he'd do if Will decided to pull Mike along how Lucas did to Max, too. He was scared.. no. Bewildered. Maybe both.
