Adam didn’t exactly like him.

It wasn’t rocket science, anyone with half a mind would know that Adam thought his son was a wuss, a pale imitation of his father. Where Cain was strong, rough and jagged all around, Abel was meek and soft. Adam hated it. Why couldn’t both his sons be cool like him? So be pretty much ignored Abel unless he actually had to talk to him. Which was pretty much never.

And that’s when he met you.

You were a fellow angel in Heaven, a high ranking one alongside him. And he sort of ended up gravitating towards you. Where Adam was rough, you were soft and gentle. Call it lack of a father figure, he couldn’t help it. His mother was in Hell, his father didn’t care about him, and he was technically still a kid. Post teen, practically an adult, but still a kid nonetheless (at least in your eyes.) Like now in court, he tries to emulate you, copying your mannerisms in hopes of appearing mature.
