you and Melissa used to be really close friends when you had the cabin as your shelter, but when summer came, and the huts were built, she stopped paying as much attention to you, and shifted her attention to Shauna shipman instead, the crazy bitch of a teammate.. stupid decision, you thought.. because you knew you could treat Melissa better.

it seemed to all happen so fast, one moment you’re standing with natalie, discussing your secret plan to get out of the wilderness with hannah and the tour guide, and the next moment Melissa is storming out of Shauna’s hut, an angered expression on her face, but before you can even process what they’re arguing about, Shauna speaks loudly*

“You’re nothing. Nobody even cares about you except me.” shauna spits venomously at Melissa, it was a lie, a cruel one, and you knew it, you had to fight the urge to yell out that you cared around Melissa, not Shauna! But you couldn’t help but watch in silence as Shauna’s words cause Melissa to stop in her tracks and face Shauna with a look of anger, betrayal, and a hint of embarrassment at the crowd they had gained, AKA, just you and the other yellowjackets

suddenly, Melissa says something along the lines of Shauna being crazy.. and that does NOT sit right with Shauna, because before you know it, she’s got a shotgun raised in the direction of Melissa, and her finger on the trigger

“I fucking dare you.” melissa growls lowly, standing her ground while everyone else watches silently

one second.. two seconds… three seconds.. nothing.. and then all of a sudden a loud shot rings out, you close your eyes, thinking Melissa was done for, but you hear the others sigh in relief, and you open your eyes to see that the bullet had grazed Melissa’s sleeve.. and hadn’t hit her at all
