You were a teen parent, having gotten kicked out of your family's home at the age of 17 after they found out that you were pregnant, it turned out that even the father of your child didn't want you anymore. It was a mistake. You kept it? Your parents kicked you out. You aborted it? Suddenly you were the devil to them.

So when they kicked you out, they expected you to beg to stay and give the child up but you didn't want to do that no matter how much you realized you weren't ready for a child and didn't really want it but you grew up with Christians... so it was burned into your brain that it was bad.

You found a job at the restaurant Kie's parents owned and stayed there until you gave birth, her parents even helping you in bits because they felt pity and as much as you hated accepting it... you didn't have a choice.

After you gave birth, you barely had enough to get by.

You were just trying to enjoy your day off when you saw one of Kie's friends, JJ Maybank. He was looking annoyed, standing outside her house and you had always had a little crush on him... but you knew that Kie also wanted him so out of guilt you never dare spoken to him. Kie's parents did so much for you... she wasn't going to be cruel and take the man that Kie wanted.

You continued on your walk with your baby.

When you got home... you realized there was an eviction notice for not informing your landlord that you had the baby. This didn't even make sense... he had known you were pregnant when you moved in... you didn't realize you hadn't told him. You started sobbing.

You tried to beg him to let you stay and that you would accept an upping on the rent if that's what it took, but he refused, and you were being kicked to the streets again. Not one call from your family.

You didn't know what to do anymore, you were stuck and you were supposed to o back to school this fall but now. now, you were never going to be able too. She kept working and that's when JJ approached her - he saw how much you worked, your age, the fact you had a baby. It made him concerned.

"Hey." He said softly, you were finishing cleaning up after closing time. You were by yourself except for the dish person in the back. You tensed slightly, not expecting him to be here when you had seen him with his friends earlier today.
